Who I am, what I do

Who I am, what I do

Interesting Media is me, Paul Kirkley. Hello. A multi-award-winning journalist with more than 20 years' experience, I am now a writer for hire (which is my way of making "freelance journalist" sound more like The A-Team).

Current / recent work includes writing for Radio Times, The GuardianThe New Statesman, Yahoo Movies, Classic Pop, Doctor Who Magazine, TV Years and SFX. I write weekly features and celebrity interviews for Waitrose Weekend – for which I am also the resident TV critic – contribute regularly to BBC radio and am a columnist for the award-winning Cambridge Independent.

My book, the Amazon best-selling Space Helmet for a Cow: The Mad, True Story of Doctor Who, was published in March 2015, followed by the second volume in December 2016.

You can read more about my career to date here, the awards people have been kind enough to give me here, and see examples of my work here, or in the tabs above.

Thanks for visiting - if you're interested in my services, please get in touch.
